About Us

Owned by the community, for the community

Myall Coast Radio was born in 2019 when a group of locals saw the need for a radio station owned by the community — a way to give back to the place they love. With seed funding raised from generous local benefactors in just six months, our doors opened and the first songs went to air.

Broadcasting from our studio in the Tea Gardens industrial estate, we’re run entirely by volunteer presenters who bring their own passion, music and stories to the microphone. From breakfast shows to local news, emergency updates to community notices, we’re proudly part of daily life on the Myall Coast.

Every Saturday from 8am our studio doors are open — pop in, say hello, and see how it all happens.

Why We Exist

We were set up to create opportunities

Myall Coast Radio exists to inform, entertain and connect the people of our region. Here’s what we set out to do for the community.

What’s On

Our programs

A line-up made by locals, for locals — music, conversation and the stories that matter to our community.

Community Connections

Community Connections with Annie Rutter

Find out all about the local not-for-profit organisations you can join. Annie gets it out there — live stream and on air.

Local & Live

Breakfast & Local News

Start your day with local voices, what’s happening around town, weather for the coast and the music you love.

Music

Music Across the Decades

From classic hits to new favourites, our volunteer presenters share diverse music formats and styles for every listener.

Community First

Connecting our coast

More than a radio station, we’re a gathering point for the Myall Coast. We help combat isolation, keep our holiday-season visitors informed, and give local groups, events and causes a voice on the airwaves.

We proudly mark the moments that matter to our community — and pause to remember those who served.

Get Involved

Lest We Forget

Honouring those who served — on ANZAC Day and always.

Help us grow — get involved

We’re a not-for-profit run by volunteers and kept on air by local advertisers, grants and community support. Whether you’d like to present, help behind the scenes, sponsor a program or make a donation, we’d love to hear from you.
